You could be the hit of the summer with your own aircraft carrier —and someone's selling one on eBay!

You can find plenty of stuff on eBay. Whether you're looking for that long, lost toy or trying to complete your lunchbox collection, chances are somebody wants a few bucks for it.
If you've ever been in the market for a mostly functioning aircraft carrier, eBay had that too at one point!
Sure, it originally racked up bids upwards of $100 million before the auction was canceled by eBay for an unnamed reason, but that shouldn't deter you from looking into the sure investment! The ship, a 665-foot-long vessel that takes three tons of oil per hour to function, was commissioned HMCS Vengeance by the British at the end of the Second World War. It did some time with the Royal Australian Navy before being bought by Brazil in 1956, until it was replaced in 2001.
The ship sat in Rio de Janeiro, waiting to be tugged away to an Indian scrapyard. The owner preferred to sell it intact, stating that it's condition was more than fair. It had new navigation equipment and functioning components, but it would need asbestos removal and some boiler work for it to be seaworthy.
For the asking price of $6 million, you could have easily bought a dinky 100-foot yacht—but it would even come close to comparing to this beast of a ship.
