Belly fat can lead to memory loss!?

A new study has she'd more light on the link between abdominal fat and memory loss. The original discovery was made in 2010 but the link between fat and memory loss / dementia has been mysterious.
That is until now. Researchers have found a possible cause. Scientific American recently published a study that suggests "your liver could be eating your brain."
How? Well, the liver burns belly fat using a protein called PPARalpha which happens to be the same protein the hippocampus uses to process memory.
If you have a lot of excess fat, the liver needs to work overtime. If it runs out of PPARalpha, it'll take it from other parts of their body, including the brain.
