The police will loan every man in Andorra a rifle in an emergency!

Andorra is one of the smallest sovereign nations in the world. Lying between France and Spain, it has a total population of only about 85,000 people.

Although it is tiny, the country is relatively prosperous and has the seventh highest life expectancy in the world!

However, because it is so small it could never really defend itself and has no armed forces. In the case of an emergency a “Sometent,” which is an alarm, is called and all able-bodied men between the ages of 21 and 60 are required to help the nation.
