Guinness World Records offers a variety of unbelievable records. World's Tallest Man. World's shortest river. World's Most Tattooed Man. World's Heaviest Tumor. However, despite the book's penchant for strangeness, there are some records that it does not allow.
For example, food and alcohol consumption records are no longer accepted. This is probably because Guinness doesn't want to get sued for someone doing something stupid and hurting themselves. Guinness also does not allow animal weight record submissions because of concern for the well-being of the animals.
They once had a "fattest fish" record. After it was published, several fish owners began to feed their fish far too much food in an effort to break the record. This is the very behavior that Guinness would like to avoid.
