A woman had to have both her legs amputated after she passed out drunk with her legs tucked under her!

Shanna Hiles did not have the best ending to her 20th birthday party. Having drunk too much, she passed out with her legs tucked under her for 12 hours which lead to a blockage of blood flow to her extremities.A relative eventually found and subsequently drove her to the hospital where they had to wait 6 hours before she could be treated.

By the time they got around to seeing her, it was too late and both her legs were removed at the knees. According to Hile’s lawyers, this could have been prevented had she been looked at on time. The Pittsburg Tribune-Review says the lawsuit alleges that staff at the Uniontown Hospital in Pennsylvania didn’t take her symptoms seriously because Hiles was intoxicated.
