A study found kissing might be an evolutionary development!

A new scientific study tried to find out why humans kiss. Very few animals do anything similar and none do it with the same intensity. The researchers found that it serves an evolutionary purpose.
The study found that it helps people determine potential mates. It explains why women and people who rate themselves as attractive (both of which are pickier people) said they found kissing more enjoyable and important in a mate.
Another piece of evidence is that women find kissing especially important when they're most fertile. A theory for this is that when people kiss, pheromones are transmitted through smell, which is information about a partner's health, fertility and compatibility.
